For some, getting their hands on a book is not so easy. One local publisher is trying to change that. Mel Camp talks with Hannah Gordon, co-founder and CMO from City of Light publishing who tells us more about their give-a-book program.
Everyone is struggling in this difficult time, but they know there are children in hospitals especially locally at Oishei Children’s Hospital who can't even have visitors right now. City of Light publishing wants to light up their faces with a new book. Every book virtually donated now through June 20th will go to hospitals into a hand of a child. All the books are brand new, some aren’t even in stores right know.
This is the first book drive for them but Hanna Gordon says they don’t plan it to be their last. She says every month, at least for the rest of the year and kind of indefinitely they plan to pick a new organization and give books to different children in need. If people know of an organization they would like to donate to or would like to receive books, City of Light publishing would like to hear from you. For more information on how to donate a book go their their website.
