Ed Drantch has today’s headlines.
This morning we are helping you make ends meet and we know there is so much frustration growing among so many of you and so many of you face the idea of trying to get a hold of the unemployment office in Albany. One woman even resorted to faxing the Department of Labor a desperate letter saying, “I need help and I’m begging for someone to call me back.” Another small business owner contacted WKBW to say he too was going seven weeks without benefits and using the phone just isn’t working. Governor Cuomo admits the delays are annoying but promises benefits will be paid retroactively.
Another way the city is trying to help you. They are giving people who park downtown a little bit of a break. Starting on Friday all parking ramps in the city of Buffalo will be free for the whole month of May. Monthly passes and payments you already paid will serve as a credit for another month.
