So much of effort with the Rebound Buffalo is make sure the people in power are doing what’s right. For some people who are on the front lines like the NFTA workers who are driving the buses and rail trains, are calling for some hazard pay. The workers are calling for changes to keep them safe. They say a lot of those people riding the buses are not following the authority’s new guidelines. We’ve received several reports of over-crowding on NFTA routes and now the union wants bus and rail operators to get hazard pay for their efforts. They’re asking anyone not an essential employee to stay off the buses and metro rails.
