Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is happening October 17th. Mel Camp talked with Joanna Jacob, executive director American Cancer Society and asked if they are concerned that they won’t raise as much this year due to the pandemic. She says unfortunately, the American Cancer Society has faced a two hundred million shortfall which is affecting their research budget so while they do expect to have less people out and about this year they do urge people to participate in whatever way they can to help us fund breast cancer research that will help fund future generations and serve those not only here today but here tomorrow.
Using the fundraiser is a 5K walk/run but they can’t do that this year. For this year’s the fundraiser is going to be all drive-through. Everyone is invited to come out to the Galleria Mall this Saturday, October 17th from 10am – 12pm. There will be an entirely pinked out route. Drive into the parking lot and you will see the large air dancer and giant pink chair so you will know the pink event it is happening.
