Garden Gate will be hosting its 3rd annual Garden Walk on July 24th 1-4 pm.
To add to the fun, a number of departments throughout the facility will be decorating garden areas with unique themes, including hummingbirds, a German biergarten, a farm theme, veterans theme and others. A special garden will also be decorated by our Journeys residents and staff. This program is a special palliative care program that we have at all of our Erie County facilities.
Hanging baskets donated by Rudolph Galley and Sons will be given away at the end of the event.
There will be hundreds of flowers on display, garden-themed decorations, handmade items for sale and musical entertainment.
Residents, employees and volunteers from the Cheektowaga Garden Club have been working in the soil to prepare the gardens, pots and raised flower beds for this special event.
Participants will be able to leisurely walk through the gardens and courtyards to view a variety of blooms and bushes as well as decorative items made by the residents and staff.
The Garden Walk is both inside and outside and will be held rain or shine.
In addition to getting the gardens and facility blooming, the residents have been getting into the gardening spirit through painting with a twist – garden scene
Busy month with the Annual Garden Gate Car Show coming up on August 2nd!
