Mel Camp was at Penn Dixie Fossil Park and Nature Preserve and talked with Dr. Phil Stokes, the executive director. Even though it has rained, that doesn’t affect the fun at Penn Dixie. Dr. Stokes says the rain washes away the sediment and exposes thousands of fossils there. So, the day after a big rainstorm is perfect for collecting fossils.
Every Friday for the next 7 Fridays is Fossil Friday. The admission price is only $7 and you can hunt all the fossils you want. Mel did just that. She went fossil hunting and was amazed at how easy it was to do. So, bring the family for a day of fun at Pen Dixie Fossil Park and Nature Preserve.
