Fitness expert Robbie Raugh is concerned about all the sitting we are doing while we are home so she has some easy things we can do to rectify that.
Robbie says with so many people still working from home and some at the office what we are finding is that people are move sedentary at home because you aren’t walking from office to office, not going out to lunch, not going to get water or coffee. So, we need to make sure we are moving and being deliberate about it. When you’re inactive you increase your chances of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity which obviously affects your health.
A study showed that people who sit all day have an increased risk of early death by 40% so, Robbie Raugh says let’s get moving. You can walk around your office or your home when you’re on a conference call, run in place, do some push-ups, shoulder rolls or head circles but we really do need to move our body, even standing at your desk is beneficial.
