Your furry family member may be getting use to you working from home. Dr. Wylegala is concerned there may be a spike in things like separation anxiety when pet owners start going back to work or back to school and returning to a more normal schedule.
It is important to still have some “separate” time. Practice leaving home several times a day so this new normal we have now won’t be too normal for your pet leaving them suffering separation anxiety when you do go back to work and school. If your dog usually stays in a crate when you go to work remember to factor in crate time while you are working from home. If you need to distract your dog to get work done while you are both home together try any type of chew thing, bully stick or anything they like and it should keep them occupied for awhile.
