Pet Talk Tuesday – Free first vet visit

Posted
and last updated

Today, Dr. Stephanie Wolf has good news to share. The Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society is sponsoring a free first exam program/healthy pet program where when an animal is adopted from a shelter, rescue organization and most pets stores in this area they will receive a certificate which is good for a free first exam and at your chosen veterinary hospital listed on the back of the certificate. This program is up 30% this year from last year.

Dr. Wolf says due to the COVID situation it is becoming increasingly more difficult to call your veterinarian and get in at the time exactly when you wish to come in. She says they are all trying their best can working hard amongst the situation. You need to call within ten days as stated on the back of the certificate. She says to call; it doesn’t mean you have to come in within ten days but you need to call within that ten day period and set up an appointment for your first free exam with your possible new veterinarian and your new friend. She reminds us that, exams, vaccines and health certificates are all important to keep up-to-date.
