Mel talks with Anna Hartog, co-owner of Park Edge Sweet Shoppe. Chocolate has always made a sweet gift and this year it’s about spreading the love. Hartog says Valentine’s Day is for everyone; it’s for the grandparents buying for their grandkids, parents buying for their kids, neighbors just showing their appreciation to others.
Anna Hartog says one of their popular items always, are hearts, personalized hearts that they have and one of their most famous things are their Valentines hot cocoa balls. You just pour the hot milk into it and the marshmallows come up…everything is right there and don’t forget the heart shaped sponge candy.
At Park Edge Sweet Shoppe they have two tiny hearts that you break open and all the proceeds from that goes to the Child Advocacy Center which helps children who are mentally and physically abused.
