Books open a world of opportunity. Not all students have access to books and not all students have access to a library especially now with COVID which is why our If You Give A Child A Book Campaign has been so important to the students of Buffalo United Charter School.
Jeannette Franklin ELA 7th grade teacher says being part of this drive and benefiting from this campaign is going to be amazing for them because students who wouldn’t ordinarily have an opportunity to get a book will have a book and not only will they have a book but they will be able to choose a book they are interested in. She says a lot of times students will shy away from reading because we give them the books and we choose the books for them but, if students start to choose their own books then they will be more interested and more apt to read.
With your help we have raised over $12,000 in our If You Give A Child A Book Campaign and 2, 500 books were donated to the Buffalo United Charter School.
