Veterans Day is also called Armistice Day commemorating the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice which ended WW I hostilities between the allies and Germany in 1918.
Today is also Remembrance Day in Canada commemorating the sacrifices that Canadians made in all armed conflicts. This Veterans Day is a special one for Linda Pellegrino, because just last month, she had the remarkable opportunity to accompany nearly 60 American veterans on something called, The honor flight. It was a life-changing experience for many, especially for the 89 year old vet she was accompanying, her dad.
