She says part of helping people is helping our community and that’s why they are running their William Mattar 4 Code Blue Campaign.
For those who don’t know Code Blue is, it is when temperatures reach extreme conditions and emergency shelter and other services are necessary for the homeless. It’s important to know that not all homeless shelters are able to offer these Code Blue services. St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy is once again partnering with Restoration Society Inc. to provide these code blue services to the Western New York area. This is 100% volunteer and donation based. Some of the services they are able to provide are a warm bed, hot meal and warm clothing to the homeless. During this pandemic, William Mattar Law Offices feels it’s more important than ever to support organizations like this so they added a direct link to their website for anybody that can help. If you are able to make a donation to St. Luke’s Code Blue Shelter, they encourage it, but Megan Lederhouse says there many other ways to help as well. There are opportunities to volunteer with the Code Blue Shelter at anytime during the day that works for you. Also donating items. Something simple as socks or winter hats makes a tremendous difference and can help greatly with the homeless.
