LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — General Motors is looking to fill 50 temporary, part-time jobs for its Lockport plant to support manufacturing of the Chevrolet Corvette and Silverado, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.
The starting wage is $16.67 per hour and includes health care options and holiday benefits after 90 days. The length of employment is open ended, said Tom Read of GM Communicatoins. Temporary employees may receive preference for full-time positions if they become available.
Candidates must pass a hair drug test and background checks.
GM's Lockport operations is home to more than 1,400 employees. The newly hired workers will be part of UAW Local 686.
