The Director of Nursing at Kenmore Mercy Hospital says Catholic Health provides a supportive environment for both new and experienced nurses. New nurses are guided through mentorship programs, and experienced nurses often have the chance to expand their knowledge into new areas.
She says she's excited for the opportunities available for nurses in Western New York, and says it's a career that teaches you more than medical skills.
"Being a nurse prepares you to handle whatever is in front of you," said Heather Telford. "It's a great career to really hone your problem solving skills. It also allows you to be compassionate and kind in the most difficult situations."
