Job seekers in Western New York, who are in need of health insurance, will soon have the opportunity to speak with someone from the state’s official health plan marketplace face-to-face to help with the process.
NY State of Health will have in-person representatives available at job and career fairs across the state to help those find health plan options through the 'Marketplace' and make appointments.
“Consumers who may have lost their employer-sponsored health insurance coverage or are in between jobs may qualify for a health plan through the Marketplace,” said NY State of Health Executive Director, Donna Frescatore. “Having a presence at job and career fairs continues to be an effective way for NY State of Health to educate uninsured New Yorkers about how easy it is to get a good low-cost health plan through the Marketplace.”
Buffalo's job fair will be held at the Buffalo Grand Hotel, formerly The Adam's Mark, on February 25 at 10:30 am.
Information for all the events across New York State can be found here.
