McDonald's is hiring more than 10,000 positions across New York State this summer! They're looking to help their employees further their education and go even further by hiring those who just aren't ready to retire.
The fast food chain will offer an "Archways to Opportunity" program. Employees who have worked for more than 90 days and more than 15 hours a week, they'll the chance to earn a high school diploma, receive $2,500 in upfront college tuition assistance and access to career advising services. They'll also be provided with the chance to learn English as a second language.
For the first time ever, McDonald's will also partner with AARP for a first-of-its-kind collaboration. From morning shifts to management roles, AARP and the AARP foundation will help connect McDonald's to a growing, yet underutilized workforce.
The AARP program will pilor in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and North Carolina before rolling out nationwide later tis summer
