Liz Tsai is stretched thin these days.
“We paid a bunch of OT because we're growing.”
Tsai is the CEO of HiOperator. The start-up company helps other companies with customer service using both technology and talent, and it's looking for a handful of employees. “We need customer gurus, exec assistants, and developers,” she said.
Entry level customer guru positions start at $14 an hour.
Hi Operator is one of several dozen small businesses who will be looking to hire at Ignite Buffalo's job fair, dubbed Jobcade, happening March 7.
Alex Gress is president of 43 North. The organization is helping put the event together. He said job seekers will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with potential employers, get interview and resume advice, and have a professional head shot taken free of charge.
He said there's roughly 200 positions available across the participating small businesses ” There's marketing roles, software developers, or wellness consultants, fitness experts and so people of all skillsets, backgrounds and experiences, have an opportunity to be a part of the next generation of companies here in western New York.”
Other small businesses can still get involved. Organizers have a limited number of free tables available for local companies to participate in the event. Businesses that would like more information or to request to table should contact 43North Director of Talent Strategy Jen Reed at jen@43north.org by March 1 at noon.
