The Girl Scouts of Western New York is asking you to join them in helping young girls grow, learn leadership skills and more.
The organization serves nine counties and is looking to fill eight positions for entry, mid and upper level positions.
"It helps us to reach more girls. Every single person is part of what we do as a whole so we can continue our outreach throughout all nine counties," said Kara Fraser, Chief Administrative Officer.
"We have a unique program and it's not just cookies and crafts that people know us for. We're really building those leadership skills and life skills," said Alaina Cottrell, Community Partner Specialist.
There are four full-time open positions and four part-time positions with a guaranteed minimum 20 hours a week.
And depending on the position, benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid time off and holidays, and a tuition rewards program.
The part-time program facilitator position pays $15 and hour and a $100 bonus for completing the Program Year.
"They actually work with our troop leaders hands-on work with the girls, to help them get up and running, to learn more about girl scouts programming to help them execute our programming," said Fraser.
Alaina Cottrell joined the Girl Scouts of WNY in March, and said their mission aligned with her values.
"[I] really just wanted to work for an organization that gave back and instilled important values especially to girls," she said. "Girls deal with a lot of different issues; self-esteem, confidence. And Girl Scouts really helps build girls with confidence, character and courage."
Chief Administrative Officer Fraser said they have needs throughout the area, and looking to fill those positions as soon as they can.
