BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — While you're finishing up your holiday shopping, we're taking a look at some classic Christmas movies.
From older classics like "It's A Wonderful Life," and "Miracle on 34th Street," to more contemporary films like "Elf," and "Love Actually," Americans have plenty of opinions on which Christmas movie they think is best.
Lifestyle website House Method took the top 55 most popular Christmas films from the movie guide site Rotten Tomatoes, and surveyed over 4,500 people from each state to answer the question: what is the most popular Christmas movie in each state?
With so many to choose from, it's no surprise that Americans share many different opinions on their favorite Christmas movies.
The 1983 film "A Christmas Story," is ranked as the most popular flick in 24 states, including New York, and takes a slight edge over 2003's "Elf," when looking at most popular Christmas movies nationwide.
