It began as a coffee and baked goods spot but Dick & Jenny's on Grand Island has grown into a popular gathering place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dick Benz is the chef and his wife Jenny, who grew up on Grand Island does it all including dishes.
The couple opened their first restaurant in New Orleans but when Hurricane Katrina hit they lost their home. So they sold their first Dick & Jenny's and opened this one.
The focus here is on New Orleans style food but as Jenny points out, that includes much more than just "Cajun."
