Erie County Fair: everything you need to know about admission, parking, rides and more

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — Step on up and get your complete guide to the Erie County Fair. The fair is in town for 12 days, so hurry fast and travel down to the Hamburg Fairgrounds before it's too late.

Location

The 180th Erie County Fair will happen at the Hamburg Fairgrounds (5600 McKinley Parkway, Hamburg). While you're at the fair, come visit the 7ABC crew at Tom Jolls park.

Parking

It costs $5 for vehicles to park in the fair lots and $20 for buses. Only gates 2, 4, 4A and 5will have wheelchair and scooter rentals available.

How Much

Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for seniors. Children under 12 get into the fair for free.

Circle your calendar! You can get into the fair for only $5 Tuesday, August 13. That's a $7 discount.

Other days at the fair with gate specials:

  • Firefighters Day - Friday, August 9

FREE admission for Firefighters and Auxiliary members with proper ID

  • Veterans Day - Sunday, August 11

FREE Admission for Veterans, Active Military and Auxiliary members with proper ID

  • Early Morning Admission - Weekdays

$7 Admission before 11:00 a.m. every weekday (Monday through Friday)

  • Student Special - Every day

$7 Admission for students after 5:00pm, with proper student ID
Gate Hours

For the first day of the fair (Wednesday, August 7), the gates open at 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The gate hours for the fair after opening day will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Building Hours

Building hours will be as follows: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Midway Hours

Midway hours will be as follows: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Accessibility

The fair makes it a point to make sure the fair is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. There will be sensory kits available for people to use to help distract kids from their anxiety. People can get these kits from anywhere at the fair. It includes headphones, ear plugs, stress balls, silly puddy, sunglasses and more.

The fair also paved the picnic area to help with wheelchair accessibility.
