It may seem like fast food isn't really that fast anymore.
But there's hope! Thanks to Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen.
The Italian restaurant has been open for about a year in Lewiston, and customers are impressed.
Restaurant owner Michael Hibbard (yes, kin to the Hibbard's Custard dynasty!) says it's because of their unique coal fire hearth--they have the only one in all of Western New York.
He says, "This furnace burns at around 1,000 to 1,200 degrees, which produces a real super thin, crispy crust on the pizza--a lot different from wood fire."
With Western New York being a hotbed for culinary innovation, Gallo bakes up mouth-watering masterpieces, including a Buffalo chicken pizza.
The restaurant caters to all taste buds--from meat-lovers to vegetarians. Gluten-free pasta is also an option.
Gallo opens at 4 p.m. during the week and opens at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
In the mood for fresh fast food, put Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen to the test!
