AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — The new Chef's On The Go restaurant opens in Amherst, Thursday, and while some things are the same, it's an overall new experience from the Chef's Restaurant you know and love.

While Chef's in downtown Buffalo is a restaurant for you to sit down and enjoy spaghetti parm, Chef's On The Go is designed with the person taking their meal home in microwave safe and environmentally friendly containers.

This doesn't mean you can't eat at Chef's On The Go; the restaurant seats up to 60 people comfortably.

The main attraction to Chef's On The Go is the way you'll be able to order food. You can order through the app, order by phone, or by walking in and ordering for pick up.

Chef's On The Go has a menu of select Chef's favorites, including spaghetti parm and Chef's famous desserts.

You can't bring alcohol to Chef's On The Go, but you can dine on the outdoor patio that seats up to 20 people!

Hours at both restaurants remain the same, Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

And while there will never truly be another Chef's in the style of the town location, you're actually able to franchise the Chef's On The Go concept. You can find more info on the new website.
