John Rooney is a hands on restaurant owner saying "I'm a baker, owner, dishwasher owner." He and his partner Laurie Kutas opened The Yelling Goat about four years ago with a fun, fresh, eclectic menu "it's a lot of food that we like to eat, so there''s a mish mash of styles" John says.
The Yelling Goat also has an ear catching name that John explains this way "we live on a farm, we like the animals, like the goats, yelling goat-it's a fun name and it's a good brand."
In February the restaurant had a fire. The entire bar area was damaged by smoke and water. John says the landlord got the interior back in shape by June and now they were able open again for business. Diners are once again enjoying John & Laurie's menu creations.
