You can't beat the location. O'Neill's Stadium Inn is right across the street from New Era Field. Not long ago owner Peggy Cerrone was a stay at home mother of six planning to spend time "at the spa and having her nails done" but then her husband convinced her to get into the restaurant/bar business.
They bought the place and christened it with Peggy's maiden name. The kitchen puts out some fresh made favorites but one dish has been getting a lot of buzz - the Vontae Davis Wings. Davis is the Buffalo Bill that retired at half-time and the wings named for him are so hot that most people will only make it "half way through an order."
Finish the spicy challenge and O'Neill's will pick up the tab for your wings and you'll recieve an official "wing challenge" t-shirt with the number 22 on the back. Peggy says only twenty people have made it through ten wings so far. Even Joe Raniero ,one of the co-creators of the hot wings couldn't finish the challenge, saying "I ate two and tears were coming down my face."
O'Neill's Stadium Inn is at 3864 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, New York 14127 and more info can be found at their website.
