BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo St. Patrick's Day parade is less than two months away, but we now know who the parade's grand marshal will be.
The United Irish American Association named Patrick McGuinness as the honorary grand marshal for the 2020 Buffalo St. Patrick's Day Parade.
McGuinness' parents were born in Ireland before they moved to Western New York.
The Lockport man has been volunteering at the parade since he was a child.
"I'm very excited and very honored to be selected as the honorary grand marshal for this year," McGuinness said. "I'd like to thank the United Irish American Association, the board, and the City of Buffalo. It's going to be a really, really great ride."
The parade takes place Sunday, March 15th on Delaware Avenue beginning at 2 p.m.
