The history behind Erie County's oldest restaurant

With a little imagination, maybe you can picture what The Eagle House was like long ago.

It's easier to imagine inside where the restaurant is still decked out in its old world charm. Owner Tricia Brown says she wants to keep it that way.

Built in 1827, The Eagle House was apparently built to last.

Tricia's dad Bud Hanny says even the fire marshall was impressed with the almost two-century-old wood beams.

According to Bud, in the 1800's, John Neumann, who would become St. John Neumann lived an upstairs room in the restaurant. 

Erie County's oldest restaurant still welcomes lunch and dinner guests 7 days a week.
