This year has been off to an above average start in the temperature department. January's average temperatures was 33F, which is 8.2F warmer than normal. February's average temperature was 29.4F, which is 3.1F warmer than normal. If you're thinking that March is going to continue the warming trend, it looks like you'd be right ... so far. The Climate Prediction Center has released its monthly outlook and it is calling for a 50% chance that March will be warmer than normal. We're already into meteorological spring -it was March 1st- and astronomical spring is just around the corner - 11:51pm March 19th.
