One current and two former WKBW-TV staff members will be inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame at a ceremony set for next month.
The 2016 slate includes 7 First Alert Meteorologist Don Paul, who has worked at WIVB, WGRZ and now WKBW. Also former WKBW operations manager Steve Zappia and the late Nolan Johannes, who was best know as the co-host of Channel 7's "Dialing for Dollars" in the 1960's and 70's.
Rounding out the list is Larry Norton, after a 40 year radio career, most recently as the morning host on 97 Rock Radio. Susan Hunt, the former co-host of PM Magazine and veteran of many national radio and television programs. Tom McCray, also known as Tom Donahue in a long Buffalo radio career.
Also recognized this year will be Stephanie Aponte of Canisius College, who will receive the Tim Russert Medal of Merit Award and a $1,000 scholarship.
The Hall of Fame award ceremony is set for September 29th at the downtown Buffalo Studios of WNED-TV.
