Posted

The 2018 Buffalo Pride Parade strolled through the Elmwood Village Sunday.

The parade kicked off at Elmwood and Forest Avenues and made its way through the village before coming to an end at Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street.

The parade is a celebration of the LGBTQ history and culture, with more than 100 organizations taking part.

This years parade theme was "Icons and Heroes," organizers urged parade goers to recognize local LGBTQ leaders or pay tribute to their favorite LGBTQ artist.

The parade is followed by the Pride Festival which runs until 7:00 p.m. at Canalside.
