We all know garage sales are an easy way to get rid of formerly loved clothes and items - but between the set-up, the haggling, and the summer heat, you might be putting off saying goodbye to old stuff for longer than you should. Good thing Lindsey Granger is here to get that old stuff off your hands and out of your basement with these 3 virtual garage sale apps; no posting street signs needed.

1. Varage Sale

This free app helps you connect with buyers and sellers right in your neighborhood. It's like walking through a whole street full of garage sales - without leaving your house! The site also reviews users and their items to make sure they're real and that they're actually looking to buy and sell. No lurkers allowed!

2. Nextdoor

Nextdoor gets you connected to your neighbors so you can alert them about items you have for sale and set up meetings with them - you might even find some neighbors willing to help you look through your old stuff!

Safe and private, all members must verify that they live in your area in order to join; and you'll only be communicating with other people you know. And not just great for sales, you can communicate on Nextdoor about new parks, backyard BBQs - anything in your town!

3. Shpock

Beam up some good sales with the help of the Shpock app, which specializes in helping you sell fancier items that you'd really want to go to a good home. Got precious tea sets, an awesome surround sound set, or designer furniture? Shpock makes sure to showcase detailed and delicate listings with bigger pictures to really let people see how great your stuff is! No haggling necessary here - the proof is in the picture.
