7 things to do in Western New York this weekend: September 14th - September 16th

Those summer vibes aren't going anywhere this weekend. 

The theater district will be buzzing Friday and there are plenty of opportunities for you to kick and celebrate everything that is amazing about the 716! 

 

World's Largest Yard Sale

One man's junk is another man's treasure. Check out the World's Largest Yard Sale at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Friday and Saturday. This year's yard sale features about 300 vendors selling everyday items you would find at a garage sale. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It costs $3 to get in. Kids 12 and under are free. For more information, click here

 

Curtain Up!

It's one of the busiest nights in the Theater District. Theatergoers will have their hands full, choosing between 12 professional theatrical productions from comedies, musicals, cabarets, imrpov and dramas. Curtain Up! happens Friday. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. 

 

Buffalo Beer Week

We hope you like beer. Buffalo Beer Week kicks off this weekend. Why not head over to the Flying Bison Brewery for the Beer Week Opening Gala Friday. Buffalo Beer Week goes through Sunday, September 23rd. Click here for a schedule of events. 

 

Resurgence Brewing Company Oktoberfest Party

Raise a glass and yell prost to this event at Resurgence Brewing Company. Sit back and enjoy the Bier Games, including a barrel race and a stein carry relay. Festivities start at 1:30 p.m. You can visit Resurgence Brewing Company's website for more information. 

 

Polish Harvest Festival

You have an entire weekend to experience everything that is great about Polish culture here in Western New York. Kick off your Friday right with a Polish Happy Hour. There's also a Buffalo's Best Pierogi contest Saturday. The annual Dożynki Polish Harvest Festival will take place Corpus Christi Church starting Friday. 

 

Orchard Park Festival of the Arts

Almost 300 vendors will pack Orchard Park Middle School campus for this year's annual festival of the arts. Crafters from all over the Northeast will offer a wide variety of items for you and the family to choose from. 

 

Science After Hours: Adult Bubblefest

This event is for adults older than 21-years-old. Play and dance with glow in the dark bubbles at the Buffalo Museum of Science Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Have a few drinks while you're there. This event features live music and a cash bar.

Hamburg Oktoberfest

If you happen to be in the Hamburg area Saturday, bring your bierkrug to Memorial Park. Experience the wide variety of authentic German beer, food music and sports cars. Hamburg Oktberfest runs from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m.
