If you live in the Town of Tonawanda, don't forget that the winter parking ordinance takes effect November 1.
This prohibits parking on all streets in the Town of Tonawanda between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. from November 1 until April 1.
Parking tickets will be issued beginning November 1 for all those parked on streets during these hours.
Town code also prohibits the parking of motor vehicles or trailers on the landscaped portion of any front yard within the town.
New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law prohibits parking on a sidewalk.
Violators of these laws will be summoned to court and could face a fine of up to $250.
