Aldi to hold Buffalo-area hiring events

Aldi is holding two hiring events in Western New York, including one Thursday.

The grocer is hiring store associates and shift managers for its stores in Amherst, East Amherst, Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Depew, Niagara Falls, West Seneca and Williamsville.

Store associates make $12.30 per hour, and shift managers make the same plus $4.50 more per hour when performing manager duties.

The job requirements are as follows: you must be 18 years or older to apply, preferably have a high school diploma or GED, and be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday - Sunday. Those with retail experience are preferred. To be hired, you will also have to undergo a drug screening and background check.

ALDI staff averaging more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program. 

Thursday's hiring event will be at the Hyatt Place Buffalo/Amherst on Main Street in Amherst from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The company will be looking for store associates and shift managers at that event.

The next one will be held at the Courtyard Buffalo Amherst/University on Sheridan Drive in Buffalo on Monday, May 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Aldi will only be interviewing store associate candidates at that event.
