A WKBW employee was only miles away from the center of the magnitude 6 earthquake in central Italy Wednesday morning.
Frank Pacella is a producer for AM Buffalo. Pacella was vacationing in L'Aquila, about 30 miles away from the hardest-hit town of Amatrice. In a live phone interview with 7 Eyewitness News anchor Katie Morse Wednesday morning, he recalled feeling tremors so severe he debated whether to jump from a first-story window to get outside.
