The magic of the movies is returning to Downtown Buffalo.
AMC, the United States' largest movie theater chain, has signed a deal to operate in the Market Arcade on Main Street.
The theater will be located inside the film center that used to house the old Dipson Movie Theaters on Main Street across from Shea's Performing Arts Center.
Construction is expected to begin late this year or early next year with an expected opening date in the summer of 2018.
The AMC theater was originally expected to open in April of 2016.
