Are you the next American Idol? Here's your chance to find out.
For the first time ever, American Idol is holding auditions here in Western New York, so circle Sunday, September 9 on your calendars.
7 Eyewitness News will be broadcasting live from Canalside Sunday morning as thousands of singers hope to hear those magical words, "you're going to Hollywood!."
Ed Drantch, Katie Morse, Autumn Lewandowski and Courtney Corbetta will be keeping you updated with everything you need to know as you sing your heart out, starting at 8am.
Auditions run on a first-come, first-serve basis, so the best advice we can give you - line up early!
Producers of the hit show can't give us exact numbers at the moment, but tell us turnout is expected to be huge. In fact, we're told this could be the biggest turnout for any of audition city so far this year.
If you plan on auditioning, there are important things you need to know.

- Auditions run from 9am-5pm
- Contestants must be legal U.S. residents
- Contestants are not allowed to wear/or have items with names ((sports teams, brand names etc.)) or logos.
