Due to Lake Effect snow sitting atop parts of Western New York, dropping feet of snow, Amtrak has suspended service.
No Amtrak trains will travel west of Albany, to and from Buffalo/Niagara Falls, Toronto and Cleveland through Wednesday afternoon.
This includes Amtrak Empire Service, Maple Leaf and Lake Shore Limited trains scheduled through midday Wednesday afternoon. No alternate transportation is available.
Amtrak and CSX railroad are working to restore service as soon as possible.
