The driver in an ATV crash that left his girlfriend with a serious head injury has pleaded guilty to second degree assault.
The crash happened Christmas night on Versailles Plank Road on the Seneca Nation of Indians. When Erie County Sheriff's deputies arrived, 40-year-old Heather Rozler was treated for a serious head injury and flown to ECMC by Mercy Flight.
Rozler had been thrown from the ATV and hit her head on the asphalt. She remains hospitalized.
The ATV operator, Lee Jimerson, 32, of the Seneca Nation, consented to a blood draw. His BAC was measured at .15 percent.
Jimerson pleaded guilty Tuesday to second degree vehicular assault. He will be sentenced in August.
