Girl Scouts of Western New York launches over 200 new programs and 42 new badges

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Just in time for school to start, the Girl Scouts of Western New York announced it's creating over 200 new programs and introducing 42 new badges for girls grades K-12.

These programs were created with getting girls involved in science, technology, engineering in math programs, more commonly known as STEM.

The programs include coding, college prep, cybersecurity, outdoor high adventure, space science, and more.

Among the new badges, girls for the first time, will be able to choose how they want to earn their badge under the Outdoor High Adventure category.
