Bennett High School has officially reopened.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday outside the once failing Buffalo Public School.
It's one of the district's “New Innovative High Schools,” which school officials say will provide for expanded opportunities for career development aligned to emerging industries in Western New York.
New Bennett will offer college credits, industry certification, advanced placement courses, and real world experience in high-tech computer science and software engineering that will prepare students to enter post-secondary majors and careers. Courses will include networking, animation, gaming, coding, mobile application design, digital design, computer hardware, web design, information systems, and programming.
