The training facility over at One Bills Drive is about to undergo a major overhaul.
According to the Buffalo Bills, 25-thousand square feet of space will be added to the ADPRO Sports Training Center. Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula have committed $18 million to the project. The money will be used to strengthen the sports science department, the clubs strength and conditioning, and medicine department.
The Bills say they are trying to address the needs of every player on their roster whether it be adding sleep pods, a yoga studio or massage rooms. The Bills hope that this expansion of the facility will convince players to stay in Buffalo and train at the facility in the offseason.
Employees at One Bills Drive in multiple departments visited and gathered ideas from noteworthy training facilities in college football and the NBA.
Architectural firm Populous drew up the plans for the project.
The building will connect both the fieldhouse and the club’s administration building. The game day ticket office will also be moved closer to the team store.
Construction will begin this fall. The project could wrap up as early as April of 2019.
