A blind horse in Wyoming County is getting a new fence thanks to your help.
7 Eyewitness News introduced you to Barney the blind horse a couple weeks ago. The draft horse was rescued by Roanchar Ranch in Varysburg, but had a hard time getting around because he couldn't see. So another horse, Titan, became Barney's "seeing eye horse." The ranch owner put a bell around Titan's neck so Barney was able to follow him around. Still, Barney had a hard time navigating the ranch's electric fence. So the ranch was raising money to try and replace it.
Following our story airing, the ranch owner told 7 Eyewitness News a viewer donated the entire amount of a new fence to the ranch. The fencing fund has now raised more than $7,000. Additional money raised is being used to care for the rescued horses.
