Three men are safe and sound after they were were pulled from Chautauqua Lake by Bemus Point Fire Rescue after their 14' boat overturned due to high winds and waves on Sunday.
Nicholas Gibbons, Nathan Gibbons, and Thomas Parks were fishing in approximately 18 feet of water off the Interstate 86 Overlook area when a storm rolled through and they attempted to turn towards shore when the winds and waves came over the bow and swamped their small vessel filling it with water. The men clung to the side of the vessel until Bemus Rescue pulled them from the water and transported them to shore.
