Body found in Orleans County identified

The Orleans County Sheriff's Office has identified the body found on Clark Mills Road in Waterport last Thursday, August 18.

The Monroe County Medical Examiner helped identify the body of Nakia Bedell, who was reported missing to the Rochester Police Department in late May.

The investigation continues with assistance from the Rochester Police Department and the New York State Police.

Her cause of death is unknown at this time.
