A body has been recovered from the Niagara Gorge.
New York State Park Police say a call came in around 11 a.m. from a hiker reporting a body floating in the rapids of Lower Niagara River.
The Park Police Swift Water Rescue Team and Niagara Falls Fire Department responded to the scene.
Police say the body was secured after several hours and was brought to shore and hoisted out of the Gorge.
The Niagara Falls Fire Chief says the man's body was taken The Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office. No other information has been made available and the investigation is ongoing.
