There's a new station in town, Niagara Falls that is. After years of waiting, the City waved goodbye to the old Willard Avenue station and has opened the doors to a brand new $43 million dollar Amtrak Train Station.
The new two-story building features: a large seated waiting room, restrooms, an Amtrak ticket office, a clock tower, a US Customs and Border Patrol facility and a museum honoring the Underground Railroad.
The delay for the station, that has been in conversation for decades, comes after officials reached an agreement on a 20-year lease for space in the new center.
Niagara Falls officials say, this new intermodal station will give a boost to local tourism in the area.
