Brews and booze with a southern flair in new Downtown partnership

and last updated

A West Seneca brewery is making its first city footprint by expanding into a southern restaurant space!

Rusty Nickel and Jaz and Jacks are sharing the space at 36 Broadway Street in Downtown Buffalo. The Southern eatery has been open for almost two years, but it's now getting an overhaul. Rusty Nickel is not moving from its West Seneca location, rather expanding into a second location.

Rusty Nickel will share the restaurant space, offering about 11 different types of beers and about 30 different drinks on tap. The restaurant and the brewery will come together as one, offering food and drink pairings to create a well-rounded dining experience. You can pair your gumbo or chicken and waffles with a nitrogen beer or a cider!

Jaz and Jack's has changed their menu to include more of a bar feel, adding items like "The Hangover", home fries, peppers and onions, sausage gravy and eggs.

Rusty Nickel is a farm-to-pint brewery, using Western New York grown ingredients within a 50 mile radius. They're working with the City of Buffalo and New York state to complete their permitting process to open late summer of 2018.

Jaz and Jack's is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours will expand this summer once Rusty Nickel opens, adding weekends and evening hours.
