The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has signed veteran quarterback Derek Anderson to a one-year deal.
Anderson suited up for the Carolina Panthers last year. The Bills say Anderson will serve as a mentor to rookie quarterback Josh Allen.
Anderson spent the first half of his career with the Cleveland Browns. He was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bills released safety Dean Marlowe to make room for the 35-year-old quarterback.
